Women wearing red

Question Is it permissible for women to wear red clothing and accessories? بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Answer:

Yes, it is permissible for women to wear red clothing and have red accessories. However, she should refrain from wearing it outside if there is a fear that such clothing/accessories would attract non-mahram men.

وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَأَقِمْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتِينَ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِعْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا

Translation: And stay in your homes and do not display yourselves as it was displayed during the previous times of ignorance… (Surah Al-Ahzab: verse 33)
