What is Darul Ifta ?


Darul Iftaa (Institute of Islamic Jurisprudence) aims to provide insight into Shara’ee interpretation and rules and their application in all aspects on personal, social, and global issues, including ( but not limited to ): Aqidah | Sacred Knowledge | Taharah ( Purity ). Also making sure contemporary Muslims remain in touch with religious principles, get guidance on doubts concerning religious and worldly life, and religious laws for new issues of contemporary life. Eg: Questions concerning the integral pillars of Islam such as, Salat ( Prayer ), Zakat ( Charity ), Sawm ( Fasting ) and Hajj ( Pilgrimage) 

Mufti Umer Farooq Saleem - Bio

Mufti Umer Farooq Saleem is an Islamic Scholar of Shariah and Law from Jamia Ashrafia, Pakistan. He was raised in NY. At the age of 7, Mufti Sahab parents moved to Pakistan to get Islamic Knowledge for their 4 children. Mufti Sahab spent next 12 years in completing his Quran Hifz, 8 years of Dars-e-Nizami ( Alim Degree from Ihya al-uloom and Jamia Ashrafia ) and 2 years of Takhassus Fi Al-Fiqh ( Ifta from Jamia Ashrafia, Lahore ). Mufti sahab has studied various Islamic sciences including Fiqh, Hadith, Aqidah, Tafsir, Principles of Fiqh & Hadith, Arabic Grammar & Syntax, Tajweed, and Tazkia ( Purification of the Heart ) and was granted the shahadah alimiyya (recognition of Islamic scholarship). In addition, he was granted ijazah with isnad in numerous books of ahadith including the Sihaah Sittah, the 6 most authentic collections of hadith. Mufti Sahab also studied Aqidah and Jurisprudence of Ahl al Sunna and give guidance and rulings based on the four great schools of thoughts.
