What is the Islamic Ruling on removing tattoos ?

Asalam Alikum. What is the Islamic Ruling on removing tattoos? Answer: ﺑﺴﻢ اﷲ اﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ اﻟﺮﺣﯿﻢ In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

It is not obligatory to remove the tattoo due to the excessive pain one undergoes whilst removing it. However, one should endeavor to conceal the tattoo as much as possible.1 Kindly refer to the following link for more details:
