Rum in buns

Question: Is this permissible to eat as it contains rum: https://www.warburtons.co.uk/products/rolls/white/4-brioche-rolls بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It is impermissible to consume this product irrespective of the amount of rum content and whether it intoxicates the consumer or not. Rum is such a beverage that is manufactured and consumed with the intention of intoxication, hence even if a small amount is added to the product it would be impermissible to consume regardless of which source the alcohol was derived from.
