Question:
If my mom bought Rosca de Reyes bread (a catholic Christmas celebration thing) should I not eat any of it? I just worry that my mom will be angry with me if I don’t have any because she already bought it.

Answer:
Rosca de Reyes is eaten on January 6 during the celebration of Dia de Los Reyes. One way people of the Catholic faith celebrate this day is by eating this bread.
Eating this particular bread on this day is a religious ritual, hence it would be impermissible to take part in this practice. We advise that you explain to your mother with kindness and wisdom that due to your Islamic beliefs, you cannot participate in this activity; inshaAllah, she will understand. The Prophet (s.a.w.) said, “Whoever resembles a nation, then he is from them.” (Abu Dawud: Hadith 4031)
