Pet Sitting

Question:

I have taken up an offer to care for a dog and stay at someone's house for 42-nights and I was wondering if this income is haram? Does this go against anything within our deen Islam that I should know of, because I don't want to do this offer and do something haram.

Answer:

Assalamualikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

Income generated from such a work would be permissible to use in Islam though disliked. It is better to look for a job more in line with Islamic principles.
