Making mistake behind Imam

Question I was praying behind the Imam (Jama'at) and made a mistake in Salah. Will my Salah be valid, or will the Imams Saheb’s Salah be sufficient for me? Say you’re doing 4 Rakat. On the 2nd Rakat, you read attahiyat, but you read Allahumma salli Alaa, but you stop halfway through. بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

In short, the follower’s (muqatadi) forgetfulness (i.e., forgetfully leaving out a wajib) does not necessitate sajda sahw. According to the above-mentioned scenario, such a mistake would not invalidate the prayer. Thus, your prayer was sound.
