Du'as in Salah

Assalamualikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Baraktu. are personal duas in our own language (if we dont speak Arabic) supposed to be made before tasleem or after tasleem (after concluding the salaah)? if it has to be before tasleem or if the duas before tasleem must be from the Quran or Ahaadith, can we use our phone after the tashahud and before the tasleem for duas we dont have memorized? or are we only allowed to use phone after tasleem, after concluding salaah? And in sujood can we make personal duas in our own language and make it as long as we want? i have been asking around and getting different answers for these questions. a sheikh (i dont know if its okay for me to say who this sheikh is) said it is innovation to make dua after every fard salaah. he said duas are supposed to be made in salaah (either in sujood and/or before tasleem) and after tasleem (after concluding the salaah) is time for dhikr. and he said we are allowed to make personal duas in our own language in sujood. but another shaykh and a mufti (again i dont know if its okay for me to name them) said only duas from the Quran and Ahaadith are allowed to be made in salaah and this goes for in sujood. they both said personal duas in our own language are supposed to be made after after tasleem( after concluding the salaah). the mufti said in sujood for fard salaah the masnoon tasbeehs should suffice. which are the correct opinions? InshaAllah these questions make sense. Answer: In the name of Allah the most gracious and the most Merciful, Wa alaikum Salam wrwb, 1) Personal du'as in your own language should be made after tasleem. Doing so in a fard, wajib or emphasized sunnah prayer will break your salah. 2) In Tashahudd, du'as must be made from Quran and Ahadith. 3) You may use your phone for du'as in tashahudd in Nafl (optional) prayers ONLY. 4) Personal du'as in sujood can be made ONLY in Nafl prayers and even then, it's recommended we do it after prayer. 5) It is sunnah to make du'as after prayers. Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم was asked: Which dua is most heard by Allah, he replied: "Dua made right after Fard Salah" It is the time Allah accepts duas the most so please supplicate frequently at that time. 6) Masnoon Tasbeeh in fard salah will indeed suffice for us. And Allah knows best Mufti Umer Farooq Saleem
