Question What is the ruling of wudu when water comes out from private parts 15 minutes after istinja?
Answer: ﺑﺴﻢ اﷲ اﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ اﻟﺮﺣﯿﻢ In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Fuqaha (Islamic Jurists) have divided the ruling of clear vaginal discharge (which is not discolored, mixed with blood, and does not exit due to sexual arousal into three categories based upon three locations of the vagina: 1) The moisture which is produced in Al Farj Al Kharij (the vulva, i.e. the external region of the vagina). This type of fluid will not break the wudu and is considered pure. 2) The moisture which is produced in Al Farj Al Dakhil (the vagina). This type of fluid will also not break the wudu and is considered pure. . 3) The moisture which is produced in the region that is beyond the vagina, e.g. the cervix or uterus. This type of fluid will break the wudu and is considered impure. In conclusion, if a woman is certain that the clear fluid, which she sees, is from category 1 or 2 (the vulva or vagina), then her wudu remains valid. However, if she is certain that it is from category 3 (the cervix) or is unsure regarding the place of origin, i.e. whether it is the vagina or cervix, then she should renew her wudu and wash off the discharge before praying her Salah. Only Allah knows best
