If a young Muslim dies in a car accident is he regarded as a shaheed ?

Question:

Asalam Alikum, If a young Muslim dies in a car accident is he regarded as a shaheed ? Answer: ﺑﺴﻢ اﷲ اﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ اﻟﺮﺣﯿﻢ In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

If a Muslim dies in a car accident, then he will be regarded as a shaheedul Akhirah (shaheed of the Hereafter), i.e. one who receives the reward of a shaheed, on the condition that he was following traffic laws before getting into the accident, e.g. he was not speeding, driving under the influence, texting whilst driving etc. In addition, after the accident he did not derive any benefits from the luxuries and enjoyments of life, e.g. eating, drinking, sleeping, receiving medical treatment, etc. However, the rulings of a shaheed (e.g. not bathing him nor praying Salatul Janazah upon him) will not apply to him in this world.1
