Dog Walker Job

Question:

My son wants to earn a bit of pocket money by walking some dogs in the neighborhood (especially for some of the more elderly neighbors who have pets as companions). In any case, is this Islamically permissible and considered as halal earnings?


بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful


Answer:

Yes, it would be permissible, and the earnings will be halal because there is no sin in the act itself. Nevertheless, we advise that he seeks a more dignified job.
