Answer: ﺑﺴﻢ اﷲ اﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ اﻟﺮﺣﯿﻢ In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Before any prophet passed away, they were given the choice between remaining in this world and death; this option was not exclusive to Prophet Muhammad , however all of the Prophets (peace be upon them) were granted this privilege'. Kindly refer to the following authentic narration mentioned in Sahih Al Bukhari (Hadith 4435):

ﯾﻘﻮل: }ﻣﻊ اﻟﺬﯾﻦ أﻧﻌﻢ اﷲ ﻋﻠﯿﻬﻢ{ ]اﻟﻨﺴﺎء: [69 اﻵﯾﺔ ﻓﻈﻨﻨﺖ أﻧﻪ ﺧﯿﺮ "

Translation: Aisha (may Allah ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ be pleased with her) narrates, I used to hear (from the Messenger ﷺ) that no prophet passes away until he is given the choice between the worldly life and the hereafter…”
