What is the ruling of doing Isaal e Thawab with the Quran according to the scholars?
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

Answer
According to all four *madhabs, *to do a physical act of worship (ibaadat badaniya), e.g., recital of the Quran, zikr, etc., then ask Allah (SWT) to grant its reward to the deceased is permissible, and the reward will reach the dead. Nevertheless, one should abstain from any innovations.
