Can we eat meat form McDonalds, KFC etc ?

Wa alaikum Salam wrwb,
The verse in question cannot be understood in isolation, Qur’an explains itself through multiple other verses.
Possessing half knowledge of the Qur’an and insufficient knowledge of the people of the land one lives in can be extremely dangerous.
Allah explains proper "zabiha" in following two verses:
1. Sūrat al-Māʾidah (5:3)
حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنْزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ
“Forbidden to you are carrion, blood, pork, what has been dedicated to other than Allah, animals killed by strangulation, violent blows, falling, goring, or wild beasts, unless you slaughter them properly.”
2. Sūrat al-Anʿām (6:121)
وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِسْقٌ
“Do not eat from that over which Allah’s name has not been mentioned. Indeed, it is disobedience.”
▪︎ So we understood two things from this: Method of slaughter needs to be correct and the slaughterer *must* take the name of Allah at the time of slaughter.
So, even the Ahlul Kitab must follow these instructions for their slaughter to be consider valid in Islam, like the Muslims themselves have to follow these instructions.
Secondly, a huge portion of the US population is not even Christian, how do you know that the specific nugget you're eating from McDonald's was slaughtered by a Christian or Jew per the Quranic instructions? Those restaurants don't have these conditions and restrictions.
Thirdly, even amongst so called Christians nowadays, a huge number of them have turned agnostic, so their slaughter would not be valid anyway.
The Prophet s.a.w.w eating meat offered by a Jewish woman establishes the permissibility of their lawful slaughter, not the permissibility of animals killed by prohibited methods.
