If the Prophet SAW intercedes for his Ummah, is this before or after the questioning?

If you are referring to the general intercession, this will occur before the questioning. This is that intercession which the Prophet (SAW) will make for the reckoning to begin so that the people gathered on the Day of Judgment may be relieved from the severe difficulties they will experience on that day,
