Question

My son wants to earn a bit of pocket money by walking some dogs in the neighborhood (especially for some of the more elderly neighbors who have pets as companions). In any case, is this Islamically permissible and considered as halal earnings?

Answer

Yes, it would be permissible, and the earnings will be *halal* because there is no sin in the act itself. Nevertheless, we advise that he seeks a more dignified job.
