Question

What's the permissibility of dogs as pets across the different Madhabs? What's the ruling on the spit of dogs across the different Madhabs?

Answer

According to all the jurists, it is impermissible to keep a dog as a pet, i.e., keeping a dog without a valid reason. For more details regarding the ruling of keeping dogs, kindly refer to the following link:

The saliva of a dog is impure, according to all Madhabs except the Maliki Madhab.
