Question:
What should a person do if he has a wet dream while traveling by plane? Will he still have to do ghusl?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
If it is too difficult to perform ghusl in the airplane, and there is not enough time to wait until he lands to perform ghusl and pray, then one should perform tayammum. If tayammum is not possible, then one should imitate a person praying without making the intention of prayer or reciting anything, i.e., he will imitate a praying person's postures. After that, when he lands and becomes pure, he should make up the prayer missed on the plane (Qadha).

1 - الأمر إذا ضاق اتَّسع (م/ ما)
... إذا ظهرت مشقة في أمر فإنه يرخص فيه ويوسع... فإذا حصلت ضرورة عارضة للشخص أو الجماعة، وأصبح معها الحكم الأصلي محرجاً ومرهقاً حتى يجعل المكلف في حرج وضيق فإنه يخفف ويوسع عليه حتى يسهل..
وإذا دعت الضرورة والمشقة إلى اتساع الأمر فإنه يتسع إلى غاية اندفاع الضرورة والمشقة، فإذا اندفعت الضرورة الداعية عاد الأمر إلى ما كان عليه قبل نزوله
