Selling figurines

Question

Can you sell figurines as the purpose of it is to display/put on show? Would it be permissible in Islam?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

You may sell pictures of inanimate objects, e.g., trees, mountains, ocean, a human/animal without the head, etc. However, it is prohibited to draw and sell that which is animate, e.g., humans, animals, etc. Figurines are animate; thus, it would be prohibited to sell.
